The Association Ma\u2019onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI), represented by its President and legal team, participated in four interactive dialogue sessions with the candidates for the next Secretary-General of the United Nations. During these sessions, the Association reviewed the candidates\u2019 visions and priorities for leading the international organization, within a framework of transparency and inclusiveness, in line with the high standards required for this esteemed position and in accordance with United Nations General Assembly resolution 79\/327.<\/p>\n

During these dialogues, AMHRI submitted a number of written questions to the candidates, focusing on their approaches to addressing current global challenges, particularly the escalation of conflicts and serious human rights violations in various regions of the world, especially in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

The Association emphasizes the importance of these dialogues in strengthening the principles of accountability and transparency in the selection of the Secretary-General, and the need for candidates\u2019 priorities to reflect a clear commitment to the protection of human rights and the promotion of international peace and security.<\/p>\n
