U.N. Correspondent Ahmed Fathi Appointed President of Royal Society of St. George – California Branch

LOS ANGELES, CA – Ahmed Fathi, Managing Editor of American Television News (ATN) and a veteran United Nations correspondent, has been appointed President of the Royal Society of St. George – California Branch (RSSG-CA), under the patronage of His Majesty King Charles III. His installation was announced during the Society’s elegant St. George’s Day Black-Tie Gala held on April 27, 2025, at the iconic Hollywood Museum.

The formal ceremony was conducted by Princess Karen Cantrell, Chairman of RSSG-CA, who welcomed Fathi’s leadership as a turning point in the Society’s expanding global footprint.
“Ahmed brings a rare combination of journalistic integrity, international insight, and humanitarian commitment to our mission,” she stated. “This is a historic moment of renewal for RSSG-CA.”

Fathi, a seasoned global affairs analyst, and reporting on diplomacy, has interviewed world leaders across five continents and covered the front lines of international policy. His editorial leadership at ATN has made him a trusted voice on the intersection of governance, development, and global media.


In his first address as President, Fathi outlined a forward-looking agenda for the Society:
“The Royal Society of St. George has always stood for courage, service, and heritage,” he said. “Our next chapter must include stronger global engagement, deeper civic partnerships, and a commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders.”

Fathi was also honored at the event with the UNPKFC Medal for Positive Social Development, presented by Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, Global President of the United Peacekeepers Federal Council, in recognition of his contributions to media diplomacy and civic education.

The gala featured a series of high-profile recognitions, beginning with Donelle Dadigan, President of the Hollywood Museum, was named an Honorary Lifetime Member and appointed Chairman of Special Projects in recognition of her work in cultural preservation.

Raj Shah, founder of Filium, who received the King Charles III Leadership Award, UNA-USA Humanitarian Award, and Sustainability Award for his breakthrough in sustainable textiles that reduce plastic and microfiber waste.
Temukung Baroness Miranda Kramer was appointed Vice President of RSSG-CA and honored with the King Charles III Leadership Award for her decades of humanitarian service in global healthcare. The RSSG Medal of Honor was presented to Dr. Debra Callahan, Dr. Omar Hurricane, Dr. Andrea Kritcher, and Dr. Alex Zylstra of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for their groundbreaking achievement in fusion ignition. Additional honorees included Dr. Spencer M. Dayton, appointed Secretary of RSSG-CA; Kelsie Kimberlin, recognized for her humanitarian advocacy for Ukraine and legal reform; and Dr. Lingyun Xiang, celebrated for his international contributions to sustainable economics, education, and public welfare.

The keynote was delivered by Victoria Bousis, acclaimed filmmaker and pioneer in immersive storytelling for human rights.
