Currently in Nigeria in the middle of another election period in New York for Governor. Our candidate, Congressman Tom Suozzi is running for New York Governor after we campaigned for our Mayoral candidate Eric Adams last year & he won and now the Mayor of New York. Eric Adams wanted Congressman Tom Suozzi to be his Deputy Mayor but Tom Suozzi declined & decided to run for Governor of New York to help Eric Adams as a Governor. Thesame day I was getting ready to travel to Nigeria, was thesame day Congressman Tom Suozzi called me & asked me to be part of his campaign team just like I did for Eric Adams. I accepted before going to the airport. He told me to bring African leaders in New York together which I started doing till I got to JFK airport. He gave me the authority to organize the zoom meeting and invite other New York leaders. Our zoom meeting was last night at 7pm New York time which is 1am Nigerian time. True leadership is when you sacrifice your time, sleep, and money to get the work done just like we did for our New York Mayor. Congressman Tom asked me when will I leave Nigeria to come back to America to join him b/c US politicians knows hardworking leaders when they see one. I stayed up till 1am Nigerian time just to join the meeting.
