أعلنت رابطة معونه لحقوق الإنسان والهجرة (AMHRI)، وهي منظمة غير حكومية تتمتع بالمركز الاستشاري الخاص لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للأمم المتحدة (ECOSOC)، عن مشاركتها في أعمال الدورة الثانية والستين لمجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة، والتي ستنعقد في قصر الأمم بمدينة جنيف خلال الفترة من 15 يونيو إلى 9 يوليو 2026.

وأكدت الرابطة أن فريقها المشارك سيقدم عدداً من البيانات الكتابية والإحاطات الشفهية حول القضايا المدرجة على جدول أعمال الدورة، بما في ذلك أوضاع حقوق الإنسان في اليمن، وحماية المدنيين أثناء النزاعات المسلحة، وقضايا المساءلة الدولية، وحقوق المهاجرين، والتحديات الإنسانية الناجمة عن النزاعات الإقليمية.

وفي هذا السياق، أشارت الرابطة إلى أن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة قام بتعميم عدد من بياناتها الكتابية الرسمية ضمن وثائق الدورة، من بينها البيان المعنون “الهجمات التي تشنها جمهورية إيران الإسلامية ضد دول الخليج وآثارها الحقوقية على المدنيين والعمال المهاجرين” والصادر تحت الرمز الأممي A/HRC/62/NGO/34، والذي تناول الآثار الإنسانية والقانونية للهجمات على المدنيين والبنية التحتية المدنية والملاحة الدولية والعمال المهاجرين في المنطقة.

كما ستنظم الرابطة ندوة نقاشية جانبية على هامش أعمال الدورة في قصر الأمم بجنيف، بمشاركة خبراء دوليين ومدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان وممثلين عن منظمات المجتمع المدني، لمناقشة قضايا المساءلة وحماية الضحايا وتعزيز سيادة القانون في اليمن.

وفي إطار أنشطتها خلال الدورة، ستقوم الرابطة بتوزيع تقريرها نصف السنوي عن حالة حقوق الإنسان في اليمن للفترة من 1 يناير إلى 12 يونيو 2026 باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية، والذي يتضمن رصداً وتوثيقاً وتحليلاً لأبرز الانتهاكات والتطورات الحقوقية والإنسانية في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.

وأكدت الرابطة التزامها بمواصلة العمل مع آليات الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية والشركاء المعنيين من أجل تعزيز حماية حقوق الإنسان في اليمن، ودعم جهود المساءلة وعدم الإفلات من العقاب، وضمان حماية المدنيين والفئات الأكثر ضعفاً المتأثرة بالنزاع.

Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI) Participates in the Sixty-Second Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva

The Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI), a non-governmental organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), has announced its participation in the Sixty-Second Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva from 15 June to 9 July 2026.

The Association confirmed that its delegation will deliver a number of written statements and oral interventions on issues included in the Council’s agenda, including the human rights situation in Yemen, the protection of civilians during armed conflicts, international accountability, migrants’ rights, and the humanitarian challenges arising from regional conflicts.

In this context, AMHRI noted that the United Nations Secretary-General has circulated several of its official written statements as documents of the session, including the statement entitled “Attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran Against Gulf States and Their Human Rights Impact on Civilians and Migrant Workers”, issued under the United Nations document symbol A/HRC/62/NGO/34. The statement addresses the humanitarian and legal consequences of attacks targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure, international navigation, and migrant workers across the region.

The Association will also organize a side event on the margins of the session at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, bringing together international experts, human rights defenders, and representatives of civil society organizations to discuss issues of accountability, victim protection, and the promotion of the rule of law in Yemen.

As part of its activities during the session, AMHRI will distribute its Semi-Annual Human Rights Report on Yemen, covering the period from 1 January to 12 June 2026, in both Arabic and English. The report provides monitoring, documentation, and analysis of the most significant human rights violations and humanitarian developments across various regions of the country.

The Association reaffirmed its commitment to continuing cooperation with United Nations mechanisms, international organizations, and relevant stakeholders in order to strengthen the protection of human rights in Yemen, support accountability efforts and the fight against impunity, and ensure the protection of civilians and vulnerable groups affected by the conflict.
